Every surface tracked from specification to end of life. Campaign coordination across 40 countries. CSRD carbon reporting from operational data. ScanAudit entry for stores without floor plans.
Surface as architecture.
Every surface. Every location.
One platform.
How This Started
Seven years inside LookGroup. Nine years since I met Ed.
In that time we shared ideas constantly. About the company, about the global approach, about where the group could go. I kept writing things down. One idea leading to another.
Last year one conversation made it concrete.
Ed and I were talking about Dior Parfum managing its wall decor program across 700 locations. How they handle it today. How LookGroup could support more of it. Offer end-of-life services. Go further than production. The question came up: will a tool like Buildertrend or LookConnex solve this?
That question opened everything.
TLC deploys retail lightbox programs globally. SSP designs and produces wall surfaces. ScanAudit audits the space before a single panel is specified. Maison Jacquard brings new textile products to market. Our layer printing wall panels brand is on the way.
Every division inside this group touches the same physical Surface at a different moment in its life.
That word. Surface. That is where the name came from.
One infrastructure. One login. Built and deployed.
Every surface tracked from specification to end of life. Campaign coordination across 40 countries. CSRD carbon reporting from operational data. ScanAudit entry for stores without floor plans.
Surface program management and art collections in one environment. QR per artwork surface. Guest purchases. Production routes to nearest LookGroup facility. Property earns commission on every sale.
Full Flagtrax campaign lifecycle from pole audit to installation proof. Five-role workflow. Payment approval built in. From a street lamp pole to a delivered, documented campaign.
Competitors can copy the software.
Building a production network takes decades.
That network already exists inside this group.
A client enters through ScanAudit. Surfaces are specified through SSP. Lightbox programs route to TLC. Textiles to Maison Jacquard. Layer printing panels to the new brand. End-of-life tracked automatically.
One contract. Every division. Every campaign cycle.
Six key areas. One environment.
6 to 7 billion euro market. Production-linked lifecycle layer is empty.
500-location client at 300 EUR/month.
SaaS only. Before production orders.
SaaS alone. Before production margin.
Before ScanAudit. Before art commerce.
Once a client's full estate is inside SurfaceLab, switching cost is their entire operational history.
The platform manages content scheduling, hardware tracking, and renewal cycles for LED the same way it manages print today. Revenue shifts toward SaaS and content fees. The contract holds. The relationship deepens.
SurfaceLab is substrate agnostic by design. The hardware changes. The platform holds.
The platform is funded and live. What it needs is the group behind it.
Connecting SurfaceLab to LookGroup systems automates production routing and order data sync. This is Phase 3 on the roadmap.
One named technical owner inside the group. The integration spec is written now. The build follows when pilot revenue funds it.
Lightboxes, modular systems, textiles, flags. Every product we can sell through SurfaceLab carries technical data that currently sits outside my SSP activities.
I need access to these datasheets to connect them to SurfaceLab and back every specification with the right documentation.
